Original Ford Tooling Galvanized Steel Styleside Tailgate for 1964-72 Classic Ford Trucks
Save money, this tailgate has 2 small dings near the R in Ford due to a manufacturing error that would require minimal bodywork to correct.
Our Dennis Carpenter Ford tailgates are manufactured on the original Ford tooling dies so it's made as good or better than the original and retains that OE style. It was common for original tailgates to rust from inside out but our double-sided galvanized material eliminates this problem and makes our tailgates better than the originals.
Stamped from a heavy 16 gauge, double galvanized steel, this tailgate is built to last. It measures 66?" Wide X 21¼" Tall, has the " FORD" block letters stamped onto it, and is made right here in the USA. Hardware is not included but the handle mounting crush nuts do come pre-installed. This product is officially licensed by Ford Motor Company which means you're getting a Ford quality part and the original Ford tooling means you'll get a fit and alignment that is second to none.
